NDE EXPORTS STAINLESS STEEL INTO AFRICA

AFRICA EXPORT EXPERT KARIN EAGAR
'ON THE ROAD IN AFRICA'

Karin Eagar is a seasoned traveller who takesher down-to-earth wisdom and sense of humour onto the road in Africa where she has been travelling for the past five years overseeing NDE's exports into sub-Saharan countries.

"Nothing is too much trouble to ensure our customers get the NDE service and the supply of stainless steel materials for their projects – as well as the ongoing NDE support to maintain those projects."

Karin joined the NDE Johannesburg Sales team in 1998, then moved into NDE's Projects division before turning her focus to exports and particularly the exporting of large tonnage across the roads of Africa to a variety of customers, mainly in the mining industry.

"NDE is like a family," she says. "What you put in you get out. I have a passion for the business, I love an order, and I am given freedom by my company to develop – both myself and the business"

She laughs a lot and has lots of stories to tell about managing the unpredictable; engaging with the friendliness of the people she meets; and becoming a connoisseur of every brand of beer across Africa!

NDE's Gauteng Projects Team of Anthea Bratby, Donovan McKenzieand Tony Rogers - and Karin –are all stalwarts of the company with over 50 years of NDE stainless steel experience between them.

The team gained a new member last year, Lee Retson.

Leebrings several years of experience in Africa and joins Karin on the road to share the challenges of sending NDE's stainless steel exports into the vast continent.
"Every trip is an African adventure," says Lee.
